Frequently asked questions

Hopefully we've provided you with lots of information already but here are a few things that parents and caregivers may want to be reassured of before your visit to England. It's important to note that every tour is designed on an individual basis so arrangements vary by tour. Please get in touch with us by phone or email to discuss arrangements for your specific tour.

Who is responsible for the care and welfare of our group?

Child welfare is our top priority. We’ve been running summer sports camps for individual children from across the world for seven years so we have a lot of experience. We never underestimate the energy, enthusiasm, hard work and diligence required from our staff to keep all children on our programmes safe, secure and having a great time. Our staff have experience and first-rate training in child welfare and tour management, ensuring all aspects of the experience run smoothly.

We ask for your assistance in caring for your child during their stay with us. We require all parents to provide relevant medical information and emergency contact details. These will be administered by your tour organiser and handed to us on arrival.

Depending on the size of your group, the number of adults travelling with the group and other factors such as accommodation layout, we will provide an appropriate number of trained and experienced welfare staff to stay with you during your tour 24 hours a day.  If the adults in your group want to spend an evening out, we will staff accordingly to supervise the group, just let us know in advance.

This information is for groups of under 18 year olds. If you are interested in a tour for over 18 year olds please get in touch with us and we will be happy to explain how the process works.

What happens if a player gets an injury during the tour?

We provide a qualified sports therapist during every training session. They will be available to assess and treat injuries as well as offering a daily clinic where appropriate to monitor ongoing injuries and concerns. While we always hope it won’t be necessary, our venues are all within 30 minutes’ drive of a hospital. Our coaches, should you choose to include them as part of your tour experience, are also experienced in ensuring children warm-up and cool-down appropriately in ever session to minimize injury risk, as well as equipping all players with enhanced understanding of how to maintain optimum fitness and injury prevention strategies off the field.

Please let us know of any injuries sustained before joining the tour or any ongoing injuries we should be aware of so our coaches and sports therapist can be extra vigilant and monitor the player closely. All our players’ health and fitness is of fundamental importance and we treat all injuries, however minor, with great care and attention.

In the unfortunate circumstance that anyone sustains an injury that prevents them from participating in training activities we will take every step to ensure they remain a part of the team and the whole tour experience.

What if anyone in the group gets homesick?

We understand that some players may be unfamiliar with spending time away from home, and may experience homesickness during their stay. In addition to the familiar adult group leaders or coaches that will join them on their tour and provide great support, our staff are trained to offer support and comfort with homesickness. In our experience, any apprehension quickly subsides as they begin their activities with their friends and teammates. Our staff are trained to identify any changes in behaviour that may be an indication of an underlying issue and support players to overcome these so they can make the best of our time with us.

What kit do we need to bring?

Every tour is different and you should check with your own tour organiser what you need to bring with you for your tour in terms of sports equipment, clothing and other amenities for joining the programme. We have a number of suggested packing lists we can provide you with if you need any assistance, just contact us.

What are the catering arrangements during the tour?

As part of your tour, nutrition and hydration will be really important. We make sure every player is getting the fuel their body needs to perform at its best during the tour. All venues include meals and accommodation on-site and, unless we've made a special arrangement for your tour, you'll receive a continental or cooked breakfast and two more hot meals each day, including a variety of options to choose from.
